Tell the Story of Jesus and the Woman of Samaria Read John 4: 19-26 Our Father Seeks Worshipers “Worship” = To prostrate oneself; to bow down; to kiss • Action word; physical; what you do • Like in the presence of a King • Power/weakness; holiness//sin; sovereignty/submission; grace/need; love/love “Worship” modified by two words… Spirit and Truth • Spirit = The life, freedom, presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives; worship prompted and made possible by the Spirit! • Sincerity…the Reality of Who God Is a revealed by Jesus. Our glad response to the Holy Spirit Who moves us to bow before the Father as revealed to us by Jesus, acknowledging who we are in our great need, and Who He is in His great Glory. Our Father SEEKS Worshipers Awesome to consider --- We know what God seeks from Us! Desires Our Father is searching for people who will worship Him for Who He Really Is! Luke 15:8 – Woman searching for a coin • God Is Searching for sincere Worshipers! Deserves Worship is our Father’s Rightful Expectation. Luke 13:6 – Man expecting fruit from his vineyard Demands Our Creator, Provider and Redeemer Calls for our Worship…. Giving God What He Desires, Deserves, Demands…. Hear the Word of the Lord --- The Father Seeks Worshipers! Will you give Him what He Desires? Conclusion: Jesus died so that We might Worship the Father in Spirit and Truth.
