T/S – I sat through two Graduation services yesterday…. My sons, their friends…. What Three Wishes…. What I ask Jesus to Do or Them? Productive Joy Glorify God (Note: Temporal, Personal & Eternal Satisfaction.) t/s – Wouldn’t that be a life well-lived? John 15: 1-11 • My 18 year old experience • READ (watch for our three wishes) We find the Good Life ---- Productivity, Joy and Glorifying God --- When we Abide in Jesus. • Not by pursuing productivity, Joy or Glory! Abide = Remain, Stay, Dwell --- Stick with Me! Like a branch attached to the Vine To Abide in Jesus is Live marked by… Word (3, 7, 11) Prayer (7) Obedience (10) ILL – Redfield, SD – “Home of the Good Life” Everyone want the Good LIFE Many want a life of Productivity, Joy and Glorify God… We do not find this life by pursuing it….Pursuing Jesus! Conclusion Imagine again Jesus, “What do you want Me to do for you?” NOW, Imagine yourself asking Jesus… “What do you want Me to do for You?” Abide in Me. Vs. 9 – Oh, what a love! Vs. 11 – Jesus find Joy in You Abiding ILL – My Dad, “Son, come go with me.” • A command to work for him after hours. • Home from college…evening… “Son, come go with me” -- He didn’t need my help… want me to be with Him! |
