By 55 AD, this Worship Word was a fixed formula, well known in the greek speaking churches. It is a Word that gives us important insight into Who Jesus is and How we Worship Him.

Jesus Is Exalted.
Exp - From the Beginning the Church held a High Christology.
• less than 25 years after Crucifixion
• Paul writes from Asia to Greece using an Aramaic Word that speak to the Nature of Christ….

 “Lord” is not just a Title the Greek/Romans applied later

Jesus Is Expected
Exp – Maranatha is the Heart language of our earliest forms of Worship. In the heart of his faithful followers is a longing expectation of His glorious Return…. “Amen. Come Lord Jesus!”
